This section provides the basic information you need for managing your mobile account from your PCS Business Connection Webmail account. Click the Settings link to open the Settings page where you will find the following options.

Editing Account Info
To edit your personal account information:
- Click Settings.
- Go to the Account Info section in the Settings page.
- Click Edit to open the Edit Account Info page.
- Edit your account information as desired.
Values are required for the fields marked with an asterisk (*); you cannot leave these fields blank.
- When done, click Save.
To change your password:
- Open the Edit Account Info page. See Editing Account Info.
- Click the Change Password link to open the Change Password page.
- For Old PCS Business Connection Password, specify your old password.
- For New PCS Business Connection Password, specify a new password.
- For Confirm New Password, specify your new password again.
Valid passwords range from 6 to 20 characters in length, are case-sensitive, cannot contain spaces, and must contain at least one numeric character (0-9) and at least one alphabetic or special character (a-z, A-Z, or any other non-numeric character).
For example, the following are all valid passwords:
- asdfg7
- 12345Abc
- 123*456
- Click Save to return to the Edit Account Info page.
In order to confirm that you entered it properly the first time, you are prompted for your new password twice.
- Click Save again to return to the Settings page.
Managing SMS Alerts
SMS alerts are text messages that you receive on your mobile device when certain events occur such as receiving new messages in your Inbox. You can configure SMS alerts to receive notice of:
- A new message (you can set specific criteria on the message such as "high priority").
- A change to an existing meeting request.
- The schedule of today's meetings and appointments.
To use SMS alerts, you must complete the following steps:
- Enable the SMS alerts service. See Enabling the SMS Alerts Service.
- Configure SMS alert preferences. See Configuring SMS Alert Preferences.
- Enable alerts on a specific device. See Enabling SMS Alerts on Devices.
Use your PCS Business Connection Webmail account to enable the SMS alerts service.
To enable the SMS alerts service:
- Click Settings.
- Go to the SMS Alerts section in the Settings page.
- Select All SMS alerts on.
- Go to the following topics to complete setting up SMS alerts:
- Configure SMS alert preferences. See Configuring SMS Alert Preferences.
- Enable SMS alerts on your device. See Enabling SMS Alerts on Devices.
After you enable the SMS alerts service you can define the circumstances under which you want to receive SMS alerts. You can also change these preferences later. See Enabling the SMS Alerts Service.
To configure SMS alert preferences:
- Click Settings.
- Go to the SMS Alerts section in the Settings page.
- Click PCS Business Connection SMS Alerts settings.
- Use the options in the PCS Business Connection SMS Mail Alerts section to define what kind of message will trigger an alert. The following options are available:
- Do not send me SMS alerts of new mail.
- Send me SMS alerts of all new unread mail.
- Send me SMS alerts only of new unread mail that meets any of the following criteria.
For the From, To, or Cc options, define the string in the text box and click Add from contacts to add names from your corporate or personal contacts lists.

- If the Cc line contains:
- If message priority is high:
- Go to the Calendar SMS Alerts section to define the type of calendar events that trigger an alert.
- Go to the SMS Alert Times and Frequency section to set up how often and when you will receive alerts on your wireless device.
- Click Save.
- To finish setting up SMS alerts, you must now enable SMS alerts for your device. See Enabling SMS Alerts on Devices.
After you enable the SMS alerts service (see Enabling the SMS Alerts Service) and configure SMS alerts (see Configuring SMS Alert Preferences), you must enable alerts for specific devices.
To enable SMS alerts on a device:
- Click Settings.
- Go to the SMS Alerts section in the Settings page, then click Edit.
- If the device has already been registered:
- Select the Receive SMS Alerts on this device? check box next to the device's wireless number.
- Click Save.
- If the device has not been registered:
- Enter the device's wireless number in the Add Device field.
You can only add one wireless number at a time. You do not need to type punctuation such as hyphens.
- Select the Receive Alerts on this device? check box next to the device's wireless number.
- Click Save.
Your device list contains all devices that you use with your Network Solution account. When you access your account with a mobile device it is automatically added to this list.
If you lose your device or if you switch to a new device, you can delete your Network Solution account data from the device so that your data remains secure. See Deleting Devices and Purging Data from Devices.

Your device list contains the following information:
- Device information (vendor, model, version, and operating system)
- Mobile number for the device
- Account ID (if applicable)
- Last update date and time
- Documentation link to open the user guide or getting started guide
- Option to purge or delete. See Deleting Devices.
To access your device list:
- Click Settings.
- In the My Devices, select click Edit.
The list of devices you have used with your Network Solution account appears.
You can download additional device clients as needed.
To add a device:
- Click Downloads.
- In Smart Device Clients, select your phone vendor.
A list of devices appears.
- Select your device and click OK.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
You can delete devices from your device list, for example, if you no longer use a particular device.
To remove a device client from the device, refer to the user guide for that device. Click the Documentation link on any page of your PCS Business Connection Webmail account.
To delete a device:
- Click Settings.
- Go to the My Devices section in the Settings page, then click Edit.
- Select the Delete check box next to the device you want to delete.
- Click Save.
The device is removed from your device list.
If you lose your device or if you switch to a new device, you can remove your Network Solution account data from the device so that your data remains secure.
To purge data from a device:
- Click Settings.
- Go to the My Devices section in the Settings page, then click Edit.
- Select the Purge check box next to the device whose data you want to purge.
- Click Save.
If the device is configured to receive SMS, the data is deleted within a few minutes. Otherwise, the data is deleted at the next time the device is connects to the server.
Quick Responses are pre-defined responses you can use on your wireless device. You can define up to 10 responses. Quick Responses are available on some wireless devices.
To edit your Quick Responses:
- Go to the Quick Response section in the Settings page.
- Click Edit to open the Edit Quick Responses page.
- Edit, delete, or add to the Quick Responses.
- Click Save to apply the changes or Cancel to cancel any edits and return to the Settings page.
Customizing Your Links
The Links Folder section of your PCS Business Connection Webmail account allows you to customize the contents of your personal links folder. In your mobile device, this folder appears as My Links. My Links holds links to mobile web sites and is analogous to your web browser's "Favorites" list. Until you add sites to the Links Folder, it is empty. You can add any URL to the folder; however, some web sites may not display well on your device.
Note: The name of your links folder can differ depending on the name Sprint PCS uses.

To add a mobile site link to the Links Folder:
- Go to the Links Folder section in the Settings page.
- The name of this section is determined by Sprint PCS.
- Click Edit to open the Add, Remove and Sort Links page.
- Click New to open the Create a New Link page.
- Define the mobile site:
- Display Name: A meaningful name for the mobile site. This name appears in your mobile device.
- Wireless URL: Site URL (for example, http://wap.yahoo.com).
- Click Add to return to the Add, Remove and Sort Links page.
- When done, click Save.
Changing Link Names and URLs
To change the display name or URL associated with a mobile site link:
- Go to the Links Folder section in the Settings page.
- Click the link whose name or URL you want to change to open the Edit a Workspace Link page.
- Modify the display name and/or URL as appropriate.
- Click Save.
Note that the mobile site name(s) and/or URL(s) in the Links Folder section of your PCS Business Connection Webmail account reflects your changes.
Sorting Links
You can control the display order of the mobile site links in the Links Folder.
To sort mobile site links:
- Go to the Links Folder section in the Settings page.
- Click Edit to open the Add, Remove and Sort Links page.
- Select the mobile site link to move and click one of the following:
- Move to Top: Moves the mobile site link to the top of the list.
- Move Up: Moves the mobile site link up one position in the list.
- Move Down: Moves the mobile site link down one position in the list.
- Move to Bottom: Moves the mobile site link to the bottom of the list.
- When done, click Save.
Note that the new order of the mobile sites in the Links Folder section of your PCS Business Connection Webmail account reflects your changes.
To remove a mobile site link from the Links Folder:
- Go to the Links Folder section on the Settings page.
- Click Edit to open the Add, Remove and Sort Links page.
- Select the mobile site to remove and click Remove.
- When done, click Save.
Note that the number of mobile sites in the Links Folder section of your PCS Business Connection Webmail account reflects your changes.
